Diversity, by its very nature of bringing together individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, is an integral ingredient to the success of any large organization. It is especially critical to organizations that reach a national and international scope of business. To that end, I have made diversity an evergreen goal for all of my areas of responsibility by challenging each manager to: develop systems and practices to promote the diversity of our workforce and effectiveness of helping diverse associates achieve career success.
Only through a proactive program where we set appropriate objectives and track their progress will we foster and develop a culture of diversity. Doing so will only stand to enhance Raymond James' overall objective of being a great place for associates of all backgrounds to build a career.
