For more than fifteen years, Art McAllister has been helping clients reach their unique financial goals. He crafts custom-designed plans that specifically take into account not only client investment objectives, but also their risk tolerance levels and individual aspirations.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, his military service included five years of active duty as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Art then earned his MBA in management at UCLA. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and holds the additional designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor©.
Art has held a range of responsibilities in corporate and international banking, as well as corporate finance, during his 25 years in banking. He worked in New York, Johannesburg and Los Angeles. He joined Merrill Lynch & Co. in 1996 as a Financial Advisor, where he built a relationship-based practice that integrated financial planning with investment allocation and professional money management.
He left to join Raymond James in 2009, where his practice focuses on working with busy and successful working professionals and retirees. His strategy is to assist clients to create, maintain and transfer their wealth, while attempting to reduce risk.
Art holds security licenses series 7, 31, 63 and 66. He also holds Life and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses. While his practice is focused on serving the needs of clients in California, he is licensed in other major states across the country.
A thirty-year resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Art believes strongly in giving back. He is active in his community, currently serving on the boards of the San Pedro Peninsula YMCA and the Aero Club of Southern California. He co-founded The Peninsula Veterans Organization. Current professional involvement includes membership in the South Bay Estate Planning Council. He is a past board member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
