Ben and Joanna enjoyed attending the Raymond James National Conference in Las Vegas, NV in May. They attended many educational meetings and discussed important financial topics with others in the financial industry. They furthered their education on the financial planning topics they work with each and every day.

Wellington Community Fitness Run/Walk

Once again, Joanna was very proud to Co-Chair the Wellington Community Fitness Run & Walk presented by the Palms West Community Foundation. The event was well attended and utilized the brand new Wellington for the staging of the event. The proceeds benefited the Palms West Community Foundation and Scott's Place, a playground for all abilities. Scott's Place is a barrier-free playground built as a part of the new Wellington Town Center and can be seen as you drive by on Forest Hill Blvd.

Wellington Rotary's Family of Charities

Ben and Joanna hosted a Hawaiian Luau, to benefit the Wellington Rotary's Family of Charities, at their home. The Drums of Polynesia (they play at MaiKai in Ft. Lauderdale) played their drums and danced original dances. Island Cuisine, Tropical Music and a Live Auction made the evening one to remember.

Community Fitness Run/Walk of Wellington
Co-Chairwoman Joanna Boynton has brought back the Wellington Community Fitness 5K Run & Walk. A runner herself, Joanna is the perfect person to co-chair such an important community-building event. The proceeds of this event benefit The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC).

Gladney Award is presented annually to the local Wellington citizens who best exemplify unselfish dedication through the devotion of time, energy and numerous contributions towards the betterment and future of our community.

Raymond James Executive Council Award
For the past 5 years, Joanna and Ben Boynton have been named to the elite Raymond James Executive Council. This award is given in recognition of outstanding client service and exemplary professional growth. The Executive Council honors are presented exclusively to financial advisors who have demonstrate the highest level of commitment to clients through personal service and professional integrity.
Membership is based mainly on assets under management, education, credentials and fiscal year production. Re-qualification is required annually since prior membership is no assurance of future membership.

At girl's night out, Joanna Boynton relayed an inspiring story of her neighbor's cousin. By anyone's standards, native New Yorker and now full-time Wellington resident, Tara Connel, hasn't had it easy. After the death of her single mother, 24-year-old Tara became the primary caregiver for her grandmother battling Alzheimer's. She willingly put her dream of becoming an art teacher on hold and moved into her grandmother's house to provide around the clock care.

Community Hospice Fitness Run & Walk

Wellington Plaza
The 10th Annual Wellington Community Fitness Run/Walk was held Saturday, Nov. 4, starting and ending at the Wellington Plaza. A record number of participants, 782 people, either ran or walked the 5K distance through Wellington. The event raised more than $67,000 to benefit Hospice of Palm Beach County.

Ben Boynton's trip to Kenya last summer still affects his life — from the way he raises his children to the volunteer project he's leading.
Boynton, 35, took the two-week trip in June with his wife, Joanna. While in Kenya, the Wellington residents went to three national parks, participated in photo safaris and visited the compound of Street Children's Assistance Network of Nakuru.
