About Us
Leroy Tanker has achieved the CPA (Certified Public Accountant), PFS (Personal Financial Specialist), and CFP® (Certified Financial Planner ™). He has more than 32 years of financial services experience, which includes:
- 11 years performing financial planning and investment consulting at Merrill Lynch and UBS Financial Services
- Five years in his own CPA firm where he performed financial planning and consulting
- Four years in other CPA firms, including KPMG Peat Marwick and Price Waterhouse Coopers
- Three years as Chief Financial Officer of a major construction company where he performed investment services and personal financial planning for the chairman of the company
Leroy has his General Securities Representatives License and his State of Georgia Insurance License. He uses the vast resources within and outside of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. to assist his clients in achieving their financial goals.
Leroy teaches classes for those seeking the Certified Financial Planner ™ certification at Duke University. He has also taught undergraduate accounting classes and graduate classes in finance at Georgia State University. Leroy has conducted numerous financial seminars to assist clients and members of community organizations.
He graduated summa cum laude in 1976 from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration. He scored highest in the state of Alabama (with honorable mention at the National Level) on the November 1976 CPA exam.
Leroy serves on the board of directors of DeKalb Community Services Board. Also, he has served as Treasurer of the Henderson Middle School PTSA and member of the Father's Advisory Board of the Northwest Georgia Girl Scout Council. Leroy is a member of the Financial Planning Association and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Leroy is happily married with two daughters. Leroy and his wife coordinate the Crown Financial Ministries at St. Philip Church. He enjoys golf in his spare time.
Kristie has worked in the financial services industry since receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in 1999. Her experience includes three years as a personal financial advisor with American Express, where she performed financial planning and investment consulting. She also has three years of experience with UBS Financial Services as a client service associate.
Kristie has her series 7 and 65 securities licenses. She graduated with dean's list honors in 1999 from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance.
Kristie is happily married. She enjoys volunteering in her community and reading in her spare time.
