ier - I've been involved with JA since 1997 and have found it rewarding to work with these young people. Its my hope that I can help inspire them to succeed in business once they graduate for school.
I had the privilege along with my wife to teach Junior Achievement’s fifth-grade program, our Nation, at the Towles Intermediate School. It provided practical information about businesses’ need for individuals who can meet the demands of the job market, including high-growth, high-demand jobs. Students learned that businesses need workers with skills that are in demand, such as STEM skills – science, technology, engineering and math. They understood that people who have these skills benefit from a growing number of career opportunities.
Our Nation introduces the concept of globalization of business as it relates to the various careers students may choose to pursue, and the need for students to be entrepreneurial in their thinking.
