In Our CommunityWay to go Wildcats! The women's softball team returned from Oklahoma City with another national championship after defeating a fierce Tennessee team in two out of three games. Caitlin Lowe and Taryne Mowatt received All American honors for their tremendous play this season, and next week the Wildcats will be traveling to the White House to meet the President. The U of A women's golf team had a strong finish in this year's NCAA tournament and are looking to have an outstanding year next year with nine out of ten girls returning to the team. Alison Walshe receved the honor of second team All American while Mary Jacobs received a honorable mention. Both girls were also named to the Academic All American Team, and Mary is going to represent the USA this summer in the World University Games. The Cats, all around, had a remarkable year and are looking forward to more awards and championships next year! |
