Doug has been working as a financial advisor for over 14 years. The first step in meeting with a new client is understanding what is important to them. Doug focuses on wealth management and financial planning for high net worth individuals. Assets are managed through a combination of individual stocks and bonds, private money managers, mutual funds and alternative investments. Asset protection is also offered through life insurance and long term care insurance. Doug’s educational background includes a BA from Alma College, (1977) and an MBA from the University of Michigan (1990). He worked four years as a CPA for Ernst & Young, specializing in taxes. Prior to starting his own office through Raymond James Financial Services he worked for 2 years at A.G. Edwards in Ann Arbor. Doug earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1997 and on an annual basis attends numerous educational conferences to continuously upgrade his skills.
Doug is very active in the support of charities in the Saline and Ann Arbor areas including the United Way, Briarwood Rotary, and Rudolf Steiner School. Doug is married and has 3 daughters. Playing sports like tennis, hockey and sailing; primarily with his family, are Doug’s leisure pursuits. |
