Charitable Donations
Each year we make several charitable contributions. We have supported numerous local, state and national charities. We focus the majority of our support on programs that benefit education, disaster relief and child welfare.

Dick's daughter and Eric's sister, Troy and her husband have adopted four children from the Ukraine, whom the family adores. Adoption is a matter that is close to our hearts. We seek ways to support both charities that help children waiting to be adopted and families seeking to adopt a child. Amazing Adoptions is one of our favorite adoption charities, which we support by contributing both time and money. Dick and Pat have also financially supported adoptions by several families in the Raleigh area.

Religious, Social and Cultural Involvement
Dick and Pat are active members of Bayleaf Baptist Church, where Dick serves as a deacon of the church.

Dick also is a member of North Ridge Country Club and supports various theater and arts groups in the Triangle area. He has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association for several years.

Eric and Jenny are members of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church in Raleigh. 

Eric and Jenny also are members of North Hills Club.

Eric is a former president of the North Carolina Museum of History's Young Associates and served on the North Carolina Art Museum Contemporaries Board of Directors for several years. Eric has also worked with a grass roots organization that coordinated with local and state leaders to develop more access points for the Raleigh greenway system. The group won an award from the City of Raleigh, selected out of several organizations, recognizing their efforts to improve their community.
