RAYMOND JAMES VICE PRESIDENT ED MOFFITT ATTENDS 29TH ANNUAL JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION'S HEARTS AND HEROES GALA

Boston, MA - Edward Moffitt, CFP®, Vice President, Investments of Raymond James joined more than 600 guests on May 14, 2011 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place to celebrate the 29th Annual Hearts & Heroes Gala and JDRF's theme: Connecting to the Cure.  Through the support of generous sponsors, auction donors, and attendees, JDRF was able to raise nearly $1.1 million for diabetes research!

The Gala honored John T. Kerrigan, Jr., Executive Vice President, Grubb & Ellis Company.  Jack is personally committed to JDRF's mission to find a cure for diabetes and its complications, as his wife, Maryjane, has lived with type 1 diabetes since childhood. Ed Moffitt shares the same commitment to find a cure for diabetes as his nine year old son Joseph has lived with type 1 diabetes since the age of 3.

ED MOFFITT ATTENDS NEUBERGER BERMAN INVESTMENT INSIGHT FORUM WITH SELECT GROUP OF RAYMOND JAMES FINANCIAL ADVISORS

New York City, NY - Edward Moffitt, CFP®, recently attended the 2011 Neuberger Berman Investment Insight Forum in New York City with a select group of Raymond James financial advisors from around the country who use seperately managed accounts to manage client portfolios.  The Raymond James financial advisors attended meetings with senior management and portfolio managers.  The presentations focused on market outlook, investment trends, and the portfolios they manage.

EDWARD J. MOFFITT PRESENTS TO BOSTON ESTATE PLANNING COUNCIL AT MEMBER ROUND TABLE BREAKFAST

    Boston, MA - Edward Moffitt, CFP® presented to a group of fellow members of the Boston Estate Planning Council at their quarterly breakfast held at the University of Massachusetts Club on Franklin St. in Boston, MA.  Moffitt presented to a group of estate attorneys, CPA's and insurance professionals on year-end tax planning strategies, and the advantages and disadvantages of converting to a Roth IRA in 2010.

The Boston Estate Planning Council was formed in 1930 and it is the oldest organization of its kind in the United States.  Members include estate attorneys, certified public accountants, financial planners, insurance professionals and investment advisors.  The Boston Estate Planning Council provides a forum for members to network, and obtain continuing education by attending several events each year where subject matter experts present on a variety of topics.

ED MOFFITT COMPLETES THE LEVEL II PROGRAM OF THE INSTITUTUE OF INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT CONSULTING CERTIFICATION SERIES AT RAYMOND JAMES  

      St. Petersburg, FL - Edward Moffitt, CFP® by successfully completing Level II of the Institute of Investment Management Consulting Certification Series,  Edward Moffitt, CFP® is recognized for implementing an institutional investment approach in his practice.  The Institute of Investment Management Consulting (IIMC) was developed to help financial advisors drive success in their consulting practices through educational programs, ongoing communications forums and networking with other financial advisors.  The IIMC curriculum provides these advisors with advanced knowledge and concepts commensurate with many high level institutional money management consultants. IIMC members are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to pursuing a consulting approach in managing and growing their practices.

      Moffitt attended a 3-day certification program incorporating sophisticated investment management topics, such as optimizing client portfolios and monitoring investment manager performance, and participated in a panel sharing best practices among his peers.  In addition to learning about new investment opportunities, such as alternative investments and managed completion portfolios, Moffitt will continue to benefit from the ongoing education and support of the investment and manager research teams.  Edward Moffitt, CFP®  specializes in retirement planning and estate planning.
