Managing Assets, Delivering Income, Planning Carefully

Managing Assets: We help people identify their goals (ie: retirement funding, college funding, family legacy) and develop a plan to reach their goals. Often our clients already have significant assets when they come to us, but they are unsure if they have enough. We help evaluate their progress and adjust as needed. Many people during this accumulation phase of life, invest with an emphasis on growth (equities), but we want to be sure to match up their risk tolerance with how they are invested. We also enjoy helping new investors get started, and we want to help them even if the initial investment is modest.

Delivering Income: Many of our clients are at a point in their lives when they are either receiving income from their investments, or are within 5 years of beginning to take income. Often this centers around needing a regular monthly check for retirement, but it could also mean distributions to do things like fund a college education, purchase a home, start a business, pay for a wedding or survive an economic downturn. We want to make sure that you have the flexibility to access your money in a prompt and tax efficient manner. We take into consideration the type of account, the type of investment, and the sustainability of the income.

Planning Carefully: Our planning process involves more than just "doing the math" to make sure enough money is accumulated or that a distribution rate can be maintained. We strive to get to know our customers and their unique situations. Some of the types of issues that we have helped address include things like planning for disabled children, establishing a charitable trust, recovering financially from divorce or business setback, spendthrift provisions for spouses or children, estate tax planning, planning for home health care etc... Beyond just talking about the ideas, we help implement the plan using the advice and services of tax, legal and insurance professionals. We take great personal satisfaction in being able to use a deliberate and ongoing planning process to help our clients and their heirs.
