Steven works closely with his team to provide comprehensive, client-centered planning as a Wealth Management Specialist. Steven is the principal of The Wilmarth Financial Planning Group and directs a dedicated team of professionals who care about their clients' well-being and are committed to providing superior client service. Working in tandem with their client's CPAs and estate planning attorneys, their goal is to provide counsel on all aspects of wealth management. Steven advises clients on design, implementation and ongoing monitoring of their personalize planning objectives to help ensure their goals are met. Steven and his team specialize in financial planning, retirement planning, trust administration, legacy and estate planning as well as risk management including insurance analysis.
Steven accepted a position as a financial advisor with Raymond James in 1998 after serving as President of a local corporation in Melbourne, Florida.
Steven graduated from the University of Central Florida. He earned the designation of Wealth Management Specialist from the College of Financial Planning in 2004.
Through Raymond James Trust Company Steven earned the Trust Specialist designation, advising clients on trust administration and providing counsel to high net worth clients. He also earned the designation of Retirement Plan Consultant, as he advises individuals and corporations on retirement plan design and fiduciary issues.
In 2007, he earned the Investment Management Consultant designation. The certification program includes skills related to institutional money management and consulting. This includes portfolio construction considerations, asset allocation and manager selection.
Steven has again been awarded membership in the coveted Raymond James President's Club* for 2009, and has enjoyed being a member for many years.
Steven has been active in the community serving as an Ambassador for the Melbourne-Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as an adjunct instructor for Brevard Community College and was involved in Habitat for Humanity. He is a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDRF) and the United Way of Brevard and supports Big Brothers / Big Sisters, The Haven for Children and Junior Achievement. Steven regularly participates as a contributor to various publications including the Florida Today newspaper, Brevard Business News, Space Coast Business as well as a guest speaker for local radio programs.
Born in New England, Steven and his family has been in Brevard County since 1979. He enjoys motor sports, boating, NASCAR, the mountains, biking and outdoor activities with his wife, Victoria and son, Cole.
