ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Raymond James Network for Women Advisors presented four financial advisors with its Woman of Distinction Award at the firm’s 21st annual Women’s Symposium held in St. Petersburg, Florida, Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. The award recognizes successful advisors within the firm who support the professional growth of other advisors and service associates and who are also actively involved in their communities.

The recipients of the 2015 Woman of Distinction Award are: Lynn Phillips-Gaines of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (RJFS), member FINRA/SIPC, Debbie Crownover of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., member New York Stock Exchange/SIPC, Deborah Stauring of Raymond James Investment Advisors Division and Lori Pinkowski of Raymond James Ltd. (the firm’s Canadian affiliate).

“We are pleased to recognize these four deserving women advisors who are among the top performers in each of our Private Client Group business units,” said Michelle Lynch, vice president and director of the Raymond James Network for Women Advisors. “Lynn, Debbie, Deborah and Lori are not only successful businesswomen, they are also leaders within their communities and mentors within the firm and industry. They represent the caliber of women advisors at Raymond James, and we congratulate them on this important firmwide recognition.”

Phillips-Gaines is a trusted advisor for her clients, through RJFS, and the principal advisor at Phillips Financial, an independent firm located in Starkville, Mississippi. A 33-year industry veteran, she has been consistently recognized as a business and community leader at the national, state and local levels, having served in leadership roles at organizations such as the Starkville Bridges Out of Poverty (which she founded), the Starkville Rotary Club, the NAACP and is also an ordained minister. Her numerous recognitions include Woman of the Year by the Starkville Daily News, 2014 Volunteer of the Year by the Invest in Others Foundation for her work with Starkville Bridges, and a 2015 Advisor with Heart Award by REP. magazine. She has qualified for Raymond James Chairman’s Council the past two years.

Crownover is a financial advisor in the Raymond James & Associates Tuscaloosa, Alabama, office. Her commitment to her clients is evidenced by her numerous client relationships that are now second and third generation. She is also actively involved in her community in a variety of ways. She serves on the board of the Ray Foundation, which helps support the needs of Tuscaloosa and West Alabama communities, was a key member of a successful campaign for the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and is an annual contributor to the United Way of West Alabama. She also volunteers at Tuscaloosa Temporary Emergency Services, the Tuscaloosa Community Soup Kitchen and Eagles Wings of Tuscaloosa, a nonprofit for physically and mentally handicapped adults.

Stauring is CEO and managing partner of Winthrop Financial in Buffalo, New York. She has been in the business for 31 years and with the Raymond James Investment Advisors Division for three and a half years. Stauring supports the Military Health Net, which provides financial counseling to all military branches. She also teaches economics and financial matters to eighth- and ninth-graders through Junior Achievement, and is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Stauring remains an advocate for women in the industry and has served as a mentor to younger advisors.

Pinkowski is a founding partner of the Pinkowski-Allen Financial Group. She is a Chairman’s Council member and Raymond James Ltd.’s leading woman advisor. She mentors students by speaking at local schools and is an outstanding member of her community. Pinkowski’s past and present charitable endeavors in her community include the Odd Squad, the STAND Foundation, Prostate Cancer Foundation BC, BC Children’s Hospital, BC SPCA and Union Gospel Mission.
