Women’s Symposium

Each year since we started back in 1994, the Network for Women Advisors has hosted a Women’s Symposium to allow qualified female financial advisors to share insights, ideas, experiences and best practices with each other. Sure we started small, but over the years, this exclusive event has grown into a jam-packed, three-day experience designed to appeal to financial advisors at all stages of their careers. Now, attendees can choose among interactive seminars, breakout sessions and inspiring presentations by the firm’s leaders and industry experts. The topics and speakers run the gamut, but the goal remains the same: To help women advisors grow their businesses. Afterward, attendees often feel re-energized and motivated to immediately put new ideas gained from the conference to work in their practices. The symposium offers so much more than continuing education; it also offers a chance for us to celebrate what we do and find new ways to honor our clients, our community and our lives.

We invite you to join us for the 2011 Women’s Symposium and take advantage of a special opportunity to network with other women advisors and learn fresh ways to build your business. The 2011 Women’s Symposium will be held September 21-23 in St. Petersburg, Florida. You should be part of it.

Conferences

Of course, continuing education is a priority in our industry and opportunities abound to get the information you need. To that end, Raymond James hosts several annual conferences designed to help financial advisors improve their practices and strengthen client relationships. These educational opportunities and networking events are held both regionally and nationally in locations such as Chicago, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Nashville and Orlando. They offer advisors continuing education for FINRA, CFP®, CPA and state insurance-licensing credits, as well as the chance to expand their knowledge, network and share best practices with other advisors.

The Network for Women Advisors wholeheartedly supports the firm’s emphasis on continuing education for advisors, and we participate in as many conferences as possible. We also sponsor the Women’s Symposium each spring to offer the firm’s more than 600 women advisors the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with each other, interact with Raymond James senior management and other industry experts, and participate in a wide variety of interactive breakout sessions.

Women in the Arts

The Network for Women Advisors makes a point of celebrating the whole woman, not just the business woman. For us, it’s about honoring women’s achievements in any field, which is why we invite advisors and their clients to the home office each spring to recognize women in the arts. It’s our way of commemorating women’s history month, while highlighting the firm’s commitment to women financial advisors and investors.

Raymond James has long shown a commitment to supporting local artists. And we took that commitment one step further, focusing on local women artists. This exclusive “Women in the Arts” event highlights their work and includes talks with the artists themselves. Naturally, the event concludes with a tour of the outstanding Tom and Mary James/Raymond James Financial Art Collection showcased at the home office in St. Petersburg. Most recently, we paid tribute to renowned artist Julia Rogers, whose artwork hangs prominently in the halls of Raymond James. To learn more about this event, please call 727.567.5312 or email us.
