Financial planning is at the heart of what we do, and our practice centers around customizing a comprehensive plan for each individual client we serve. We have a clearly defined process in place to create your plan, put it into action and monitor its progress on an ongoing basis. We’ve outlined the steps we take so you know what to expect.

Our first step is to have a brief introductory phone call. We discuss your needs and what you are looking for in a financial advisory group. We share our comprehensive process and how we work with our clients. If we both feel it makes sense to proceed, we set up an initial planning meeting.

We explain our process in much more detail, then run various planning scenarios using sophisticated Goal Planning & Monitoring software to help align financial decisions with each client’s vision of retirement and other highly personalized goals. This powerful resource, used in conjunction with our deep planning experience, helps us ensure that their goals – and our strategy for pursuing them – are well-defined. We adjust a number of variables to calculate retirement feasibility at various ages and spending levels, and provide you with a detailed summary of the scenarios we evaluated.

We discuss our investment methodology in detail and make specific recommendations based on the planning we have done. Our goal is to ensure that your portfolio matches your objectives and is appropriate for the current economic environment. This step may include collaborating with your other professional advisors such as your accountant and lawyer.

We open your accounts, consolidate your assets if appropriate, and make recommendations regarding how to allocate your employer-sponsored retirement plan using the options available to you – and handle all necessary paperwork.

Once your plan is implemented, we will continually monitor the progress of your plan relative to your defined objectives and suggest any changes where needed. We will call you on a regular basis with portfolio and market updates, conduct an ongoing assessment of your portfolio and asset allocation, and have face-to-face meetings in our office to review your portfolio and update your plan when you experience changes in your personal life and face important financial decisions.
