Guided by an ability to see the big picture and quickly recognize opportunities to enhance his clients’ financial well-being, Jim Oxley draws from more than 20 years’ experience in financial planning to help clients achieve financial independence.

Previously, Jim was a general partner and branch manager at Roney & Co., which became part of Raymond James & Associates in 1999. He was excited about the acquisition because of Raymond James’ focus on the individual investor and its commitment to sound financial planning. In the past, he has served on Raymond James’ Executive Council, and currently serves as regional director of the Heartland Region.

Originally from Indianapolis, Jim attended Anderson College before transferring to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where he majored in criminal justice and business. His professional designations include Certified Financial PlannerTM, retirement plan consultant and investment management consultant.

A longtime participant in his community, Jim has served on the Greenwood Planning Commission and on the Greenwood School Board for 13 years (seven as president). He is a past president of the Greenwood Economic Development Commission and the Greenwood Rotary and was also state chairman of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for six years. In addition, he is a past member of Johnson County Community Foundation, won the Betty Rutherford Award for his work with CARA charities and is currently active in the First Baptist Church of Greenwood. Jim currently resides in Greenwood with his wife, Mary. The couple has two children, Olivia and Kate.
