With more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Doug possesses the knowledge and expertise to simplify his clients' most important investment decisions. An honest, dedicated professional, his mission is to help his clients obtain and preserve wealth through prudent investment management and proper asset allocation. Doug specializes in asset allocation strategies, wealth preservation and retirement plan consulting.
A Bellevue, Ohio, native, Doug earned his bachelor's degree from Ashland University in 1968. He started his investment career with Merrill Lynch in 1974, becoming a vice president with the firm in 1980. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2003, Doug also held senior vice president positions with Advest, Inc., and Wachovia Securities. As an advisor with Raymond James, Doug has obtained certification as a retirement plan consultant through the Raymond James Institute of Finance, as well as completed special trust classes. Doug is part of the Raymond James Managed Investment Program and is a member of the Leaders Club.
Doug has taught numerous investment courses at Ashland University and Bowling Green University, as well as adult education classes throughout the Bellevue area. Having served on several community boards, Doug was honored with the Bellevue Outstanding Citizen Award in 1981, was named Outstanding District Exchangite by the Exchange Club in 2001 and received the Distinguished Service Award from Ashland University in 2003. He is a board member of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. Doug has served as National President of the Ashland University Alumni Association, is chairman of the Seybert United Methodist Church Finance Committee and is a Supply Pastor for Vickery United Methodist Church.
Doug is an avid fisherman and has fished many of the best fishing spots throughout the United States and Canada. Doug and his wife of forty years are the parents of two grown children and enjoy traveling and spoiling their two grandchildren.
