Donna Chapel began her career at a regional CPA firm in Grand Junction, Colorado. In 1987, she moved to Fort Collins joining the accounting firm of Sample and Bailey CPAs, P.C. As a partner with the firm, her original focus included both individual and business tax issues. In 1997, she became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and was responsible for the development of what would later become Chapel & Collins, LLC. Donna is also a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS).
Donna currently serves as Trustee for the Rotary Club of Fort Collins Endowment Fund and committee member for Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. She previously served as treasurer and director of the Fort Collins Area Chamber (formerly named as Volunteer of the Year) and will serve as its Chair for 2012. Previously, Donna served as Past-President of the Rotary Club of Fort Collins, Chair of Victim's Assistance Law Enforcement Board, Director of The Center for Family Outreach and member of WomenGive, holding several other volunteer positions for various nonprofit organizations throughout her career. Donna has also participated in Leadership Fort Collins and served on various professional committees.
Donna is married to Tom, a geotechnical engineer who also volunteers for Larimer County Search and Rescue. They are proud parents of Jessica (an elementary teacher) and Josh (an Afganistan Marine Veteran now attending college.)
