Her securities industry experience began in 1997 at Merrill Lynch, where she spent two years in a wire-house training program followed by eight years in the wealth management division of First Tennessee Bank. Having satisfied all requirements for certification, she was awarded the CFP® certification in October of 2000 and has also earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and most recently, the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®). Lynn earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, magna cum laude. Following graduation, her professional career began with a medical research position at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Being a committed volunteer and philanthropist, Lynn's dedication to the Dallas/Fort Worth community spans four decades beginning with her work as a physical therapy volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital in 1969. She has been recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the Tarrant Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, as a Life Changer by the DallasCAN! Academy and as a Distinguished Alumnus by her alma mater, the University of Texas at Dallas.
