Pre-Employment Conditions

Your application will be considered regardless of race, creed, color, age, religion, national origin, disability, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status or any other characteristic that is or may be a legally prohibited basis for employment decisions.

To facilitate degree verification, be sure to list all schools attended. In the Experience section of the application, be sure to include employers' phone numbers, as well as mailing addresses. Federal securities and stock exchange regulations require us to have you accurately account for the last 10 years of employment (include time spent in the military and employment gaps).

All applications will be reviewed by a representative of the Human Resources Department. If your experience and qualifications meet our immediate employment needs, you will be contacted by letter, e-mail or telephone to arrange for a screening interview. As you have undoubtedly devoted time and effort to your employment application, you may appreciate knowing that we maintain applications on file for six months. If during that time a suitable match to your background and career interest develops, we will then contact you for an interview.

Please Note: You must be 18 years of age to be considered for full-time employment. All associates must be bonded with our insurance carrier and approved to work in the securities industry by both the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the New York Stock Exchange. Fingerprints will be checked through the FBI and background checks will be completed upon employment. If you have had a felony conviction or have plead guilty or nolo contendre to a felony, we are prohibited from hiring you during the 10-year period following the conviction date. This may also be true for some misdemeanors if they involve theft, extortion, bribery, gambling, counterfeiting, forgery of any negotiable instruments involving money, or wrongful taking of property.

To protect the health and safety of our associates, maintain a productive workforce and provide the highest-quality services to our clients, Raymond James is a drug-free workplace. Accordingly, all individuals who are hired are required to submit to drug testing as part of our pre-employment screening process. Applicants who test positive are initially disqualified from employment for six months. Applicants who test positive on a subsequent test are ineligible for employment at Raymond James and are precluded from reapplying.
