A 1979 graduate of the University of North Dakota, John began his career in the brokerage industry in 1980 as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in Pompano Beach, Florida. In 1982 he moved his services to Robinson Humphrey in Asheville, North Carolina, and became branch manager in 1986. During his tenure with Robinson Humphrey, which became part of Smith Barney, John managed offices in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Greensboro, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Chicago, Illinois. In 2004, John joined Raymond James. Today he leads the North Central Region for Raymond James & Associates as the regional director. John serves on Raymond James & Associates’ Executive Council and has proved a successful recruiter for the firm. “The helpful, positive culture and attitude of all associates with Raymond James is truly one of the most refreshing and uplifting experiences I have had in this industry,” he says.

John has two daughters, Sara and Jenny. He enjoys spending time outdoors, most athletic events and staying current in the industry. John and his wife Jan reside in Chicago.
