David Adams provides his clients with sound investment strategies that are designed to build wealth through comprehensive financial planning. David works closely with each of his clients in order to thoroughly understand their goals, objectives, and underlying financial positions. He then creates a customized wealth management “road map” with the ongoing goal of providing the highest level of personalized service while having access to a diverse group of money managers and industry experts.

As vice president of Southwestern Investment Services, Inc., David manages the day-to-day operations of the firm’s Cool Springs branch office in Franklin, Tennessee. His certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional help him soundly advise his clients on virtually any financial issue and add to the overall financial assistance provided by Southwestern Investment Services, Inc., one of the top-producing branches of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc.

David has an extensive list of qualifications and honors that attest to his abilities, including:

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Adams served as a financial auditor for the Fortune 100 express delivery company, FedEx, and was a senior consultant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP, one of the world’s largest professional services and accounting firm, prior to joining Southwestern Investment Services, Inc. He holds a degree in business administration in accounting and finance from the University of Memphis’ Fogelman College of Business and Economics where he graduated summa cum laude and was valedictorian.

Adams also donates his time and experience to several community-based nonprofit organizations. He provides investment advice to Brightstone, an organization in Franklin, Tennessee committed to helping those with special needs. Adams also served on the board of directors for the Fannie Battle Day Home for Children in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as the Martin Center of Senior Citizens, Inc. in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Martha Brown
Director of Marketing

Martha has corporate operational experience, training and marketing in various industries. She was Vice-President of Operations for an aerospace metal distributorship, as well as controller with the same firm. During Martha's career, she also was a middle school teacher.

She is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University, with a Bachelor of Science degree, and began working with Southwestern Investment Services in February, 2009, as a sales and marketing assistant to David. Her duties include helping plan, schedule, market, and coordinate seminars with new and prospective clients.  Additionally, Martha manages David's calendar and schedules client reviews to ensure we keep all our clients' plans updated.

Chevonne Farler
Director of Client Services
Series 7, 66 licenses

Chevonne has extensive experience in the financial services industry, including compliance, implementing policies and procedures, client support, account transfers, and practice management. Before obtaining her Series 7 and 66 licenses, Chevonne worked as a Regional Director for the American Heart Association and as an assistant to the University Events department at Vanderbilt University.

Chevonne graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Public Relations major, and International Relations and Marketing minors.

As Director of Client Services, Chevonne is responsible for handling all aspects of your client experience with our firm.
