Jason DiLauro is the founder of DiLauro Financial Services.

Jason began his Investment and Advisory career with Merrill Lynch in 1994. His focus is on advising and assisting individuals and business owners with their financial planning needs.

A firm believer in strong client relationships, Jason is committed to understanding his clients’ needs, desires, and risk tolerance prior to developing and executing a financial plan. Offering holistic financial advice is the cornerstone of his business.

While at Merrill Lynch, Jason played a large part in developing and teaching the Merrill Lynch National Advisor Training program. A true student of wealth management, Jason felt strongly about teaching and training new advisors how to understand their clients objectives and educating them on how uncovering their clients needs was the primary step in achieving their goals.

A frequent moderator and presenter at financial planning seminars, Jason continually provides education to clients and others on the fundamentals of investment planning and wealth management. Educating clients on the wealth management process instills confidence and assists them in making decisions.

Jason has distinguished himself from other advisors by understanding and advising clients on their full financial picture. This includes investments, insurance and proper debt management and structure. While most advisors focus solely on asset accumulation, Jason also spends time discussing asset distribution, asset protection as well as income generation.

Jason currently serves on the board at the University of Akron‘s Business School College of Sales and Marketing. He also serves as a liaison for the University’s Career Center, assisting graduates find permanent employment. He is also active in numerous local charities.

Jason maintains Regulatory License 7, 63, 65, 9 and 10. He has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor Designation.

An avid golfer and sportsman, Jason resides in West Akron with his wife Lisa, and they have two children.

Mark Gathagan

Mark is a former graduate of Malone College with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. He additionally earned his J.D. degree from the University Of Akron School Of Law. Mark started his investment career with Merrill Lynch in 1985.

Mark’s philosophy of building strong, lasting partnership’s with his clients as a focal point of his business has proven to be successful. He listens to each individual client with the belief that everyone’s financial aspirations for the future are unique.

Offering a wide range of investment services, Mark is committed to helping each client achieve their financial goals. Mark specializes in retirement planning for small business and individuals, and as a twenty-four year veteran, he focuses on advising and assisting individuals and business owners with all aspects of their financial planning needs.

Mark takes pride in his involvement in the community. He helped with the Copley Stadium Committee to raise funds for their recent projects.  He has enjoyed coaching many soccer and basketball teams over the years.  He coaches a Copley youth soccer team with his sons and also the Copley High School soccer team in their summer leagues.

Mark resides in Copley, Ohio with his wife Jane and three sons Brooks, Bryce and Brandon.

Karen Stenger

Karen serves as Executive Office Manager and Client Associate at DiLauro Financial Services. Performing a host of duties, Karen manages all aspects of the organizational, administrative and operational functions at DFS.

An eleven year veteran of the wealth management industry, Karen understands the complexities and unique needs of the client. Guiding clients through the account opening process and assisting them with administrative issues, she is the consummate educator and communicator.

Karen is active in the community through Habitat for Humanity.

Prior to joining DFS, Karen began her career as a Sales Assistant with Morgan Stanley. She joined Merrill Lynch in 1998 as Client Associate. While at Merrill Lynch Karen served as Assistant Office Manager and was involved in the training program for new Client Associate hires.

Karen lives in North Lawrence with her husband Jim, and they have two daughters.

Tonya Knapp

Client Service Manager

Tonya has been a part of our service team for a year as a Registered Client Associate.  She is responsible for facilitating all avenues of client service.  Her duties include helping clients with account inquiries, cost basis, distributions and other client service issues. 

Prior to joining DFS, Tonya began her career at Merrill Lynch in 1998 where she provided exceptional client service to individuals. Tonya obtained her Series 7 license during that time in order to continue to provide full service to clients.She has played an active role in planning and executing events to successfully raise funds for local and national charities.

Tonya lives in Wadsworth with her two daughters, Juli and Josi.
