Bruce Dunbar entered the financial services industry 30 years ago and manages investment assets for individual and corporate clients. Bruce is a branch manager, registered investment advisor representative and registered securities principal with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. He is also president of Legacy Financial, Inc.-an independent firm.
Bruce takes a personalized, planning-oriented approach to help clients realize their goals and objectives. He teaches numerous investments seminars and workshops to individuals, corporations and organizations. Together with his partner, Jennifer Hopwood, Bruce strives to offer comprehensive and understandable investment advice. His specialties include individual retirement income planning, college planning and retirement plans for small to mid-size companies. Bruce also works with nonprofit, university and government plans.
Bruce is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He and his wife Julie, an estate planning attorney, are Empty Nesters living in Ann Arbor. They love to visit their adult children in Portland, Oregon (Donald), Savanah, Georgia (Mark and daughter-in-law, Stella) and Rome, Italy (Caroline). Bruce has been active in many civic and cultural organizations. He enjoys family events, flying, playing the piano and golfing.
Jennifer Hopwood is a registered investment advisor representative with Raymond James Financial Services and vice president of Legacy Financial, Inc. She began her career in the investment advisory business ten years ago and strives to provide clients with personalized guidance in wealth accumulation and asset management in order to achieve their goals and objectives. Together with her partner, Bruce Dunbar, Jennifer works to offer clear and comprehensive investment advice. Jennifer teaches various investment seminars and workshops to individuals, corporations and other organizations. She also manages retirement plans for many small to mid-size companies. Jennifer’s specialties include financial and investment planning for individual investors, retirement planning, education fund planning, life insurance analysis and long-term care insurance.
Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is active in her community. She is a member of the American Business Women’s Association-Maia Chapter in Ann Arbor, where she has served as chair of the audit committee, co-chair of the program/education committee, chair of the Top 10/Woman of the Year Committee, was the 2005-2006/2006-2007 recording secretary, and the 2008-2009 Corresponding Secretary. She was the 2008 Top Ten Candidate and was the 2009 Woman of the Year. Currently, she is the Newsletter Editor. Jennifer spent many years volunteering for LACASA, a service organization in Livingston County helping women in crisis. She is also a member of St. Luke's MOPS where she is the Service Coordinator. Jennifer and her family belong to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter where she serves on the Finance Council. Jennifer, her husband, Nick, and two boys (Hunter and Jack) live in the Ann Arbor area.
Kathy is a graduate of Michigan State University. She has held positions in the mortgage, real estate, and financial fields. She strives to provide excellent client service by answering questions and handling many types of client requests and transactions. Along with Bruce, Jennifer, and staff, she strives to provide personal attention to their valued clients. Kathy lives in Ann Arbor with her husband Frank, and their children, Kate, Julie, Scott, and Amy. Her four children keep her busy with their various sports and school related activities. Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and volunteering in her community.
Connie Couchman graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in business. She strives to provide excellent client service and is always available to answer client-related questions, or help in any way she can. She is responsible for answering account-related questions, opening and updating client accounts, preparing for meetings, and helping with special events. With Bruce and Jennifer, Connie helps to make working with our office a pleasant experience. She lives in Ypsilanti and in her spare time she enjoys shopping, bowling, softball, snowmobiling and boating. Connie became an Aunt in August of 2010 and loves spoiling and spending time with her nephew, Tyler.
