Tom Avery
Managing Director
Head of Financial Sponsors Group
Mr. Avery joined Raymond James & Associates in 2000 as a managing director and head of the Technology Investment Banking Group. In 2006, he assumed leadership of the newly formed Financial Sponsors Group. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Avery headed the investment banking division and was chairman of the equity capital commitment committee at Wachovia (originally Interstate/Johnson Lane prior to merging with Wachovia in 1999). Before joining Interstate/Johnson Lane, he was a general partner at both Noro-Moseley Partners and Summit Partners. He began his investment banking career with The Robinson-Humphrey Company in 1977 prior to moving to the buy-side with Summit Partners. Mr. Avery earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating summa cum laude, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Ian Mackay

Mr. Mackay joined Raymond James & Associates in 2007 as a vice president in the Financial Sponsors Group. Prior to joining Raymond James, he spent eight years at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, most recently in their financial sponsors group. Other experience at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey includes the structured real estate group, the capital markets orignation group, and the food & beverage banking group. Mr. Mackay earned a Bachelor’s degree from Furman University in 1995 and an MBA from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in May 1999.
Matthew L. Hart
Analyst

Mr. Hart joined Raymond James & Associates in 2007 after graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in economics and a minor in financial economics from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Hart's previous professional experience includes an internship with former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist in Washington, D.C. Mr. Hart is active in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements.

Mr. Miller joined Raymond James & Associates in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and a degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Miller is active in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements.
