Leapstone Systems, Inc

The Raymond James Technology Investment Banking Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Leapstone Systems, Inc. in connection with the acquisition of the Company by Motorola, Inc.

Leapstone Systems, Inc. provides software that offers next-generation service and content delivery capabilities to Tier 1 service providers. The Company’s Communications Convergence Engine (CCE) is an open, flexible software platform that enables operators to rapidly deploy new services, build subscriber loyalty, improve efficiencies and reach new markets. The CCE enables new industry business models exemplified by AT&T’s U-verse offering. Leapstone was founded in 2001 and is based in New Jersey.

Investors in Leapstone included Accel Partners, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Oak Investment Partners, Mayfield Fund, Redwood Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. After considering its strategic options, the Company decided to pursue a targeted sale process, which generated interest from a number of major communications infrastructure / software players.

Leapstone and Motorola closed the transaction on August 17, 2007. Leapstone is now a part of Motorola’s Home & Network Mobility business.
