Raymond James Financial Sponsors Group was engaged by APEX Analytix, Inc. as its exclusive financial advisor to evaluate strategic alternatives including a potential sale of the Company. APEX Analytix provides innovative recovery audit services to more than 175 customers including over a third of the Fortune 100. Its traditional recovery audit services are enhanced by proprietary software tools that detect and recover payment errors for clients.

In its advisory role, Raymond James drafted a Confidential Information Memorandum and related marketing documents to best position the Company to maximize valuation and other seller objectives, and created a competitive bidding environment by identifying and approaching a targeted list of strategic and financial partners, resulting in multiple attractive offers for the Company.

After reviewing the initial proposals, Raymond James facilitated meetings between Management and a select group of interested parties, yielding multiple final offers for the Company. Raymond James then developed materials and analyses used in the shareholders’ evaluation of the transaction, and led an efficient due diligence process, which included negotiating the definitive agreement and providing advice related to the structuring and financing of the transaction.

PNC Equity Partners, L.P. acquired APEX Analytix on favorable terms to the selling shareholders. The transaction closed on April 28, 2009.
