RAYMOND JAMES WELCOMES DAVID CASTAGNA AND GEOFFREY
TOBIN TO TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENT BANKING GROUP
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – David Castagna and Geoffrey Tobin have joined the technology investment banking group of Raymond James and will be based in San Francisco, according to Jeffrey Trocin, head of equity capital markets.
Castagna joins the firm as managing director and co-head of technology investment banking. Tobin joins as managing director and will focus on the communications equipment and enterprise systems sectors.

Castagna has more than 16 years of technology investment banking experience across multiple technology sectors. He joins the firm from Piper Jaffray & Co. where he was co-head of the technology, media and telecom investment banking group. He previously served as head of technology, media and telecom investment banking at Cowen & Co. and as head of technology investment banking at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC. Castagna has an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
Tobin has 14 years of technology investment banking experience, with expertise in the communications equipment, mobile, storage, computing, optical components, test and measurement and smart grid sectors. Prior to joining Raymond James, he spent four years with Piper Jaffray & Co., where he was a managing director in the technology, media and telecom group and responsible for the firm’s investment banking activities in the communications equipment and enterprise systems sectors. Previously, he served eight years in the technology investment banking group at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC.
