About Us
Clay earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in investment management from The University of Alabama in 1998. Upon graduation, Clay served as the Investment Administrator at Jon Kling Associates, a successful investment advisory firm in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1999, he worked as a Sales Assistant on the trading floor at SouthTrust Securities, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2000, Clay joined Raymond James Financial Services Inc. in Gadsden, Alabama as an Independent Financial Planner, offering clients unbiased investment information and a wide range of financial products and services. In 2002, Clay opened a Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. office on the second floor of the F&M Bank in Anniston, Alabama when the bank created the F&M Investment Services division to make investment and insurance products available through Raymond James Financial Services. Presently, Clay and his five-member team continue to provide friendly and professional service, exceed service expectations, and meet the financial services needs of clients. In 2008, Clay was selected to become a member of the Institute of Investment Management Consulting and earned the designation of Investment Management Consultant. He has also earned the FINRA Series 7 and FINRA Series 63 securities license, in addition to Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance Licenses. Clay has appeared on TV24’s Wake up Alabama discussing such topics as retirement planning and risk management, in addition, he has contributed articles to the Gadsden, Alabama based newspaper The Messenger. Clay has also hosted numerous seminars on such topics as Asset Allocation, ID Theft, Estate Planning and Long-Term Care. He is a member of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, The Chamber of Commerce Gadsden/Etowah County, the Exchange Club of Jacksonville, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Calhoun County Achievement Foundation. Clay also enjoys many hobbies such as golf, bowling, mountain biking, tennis, boating, and scuba diving.
| Chris has been a financial planner with Raymond James since January, 2002, and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses as well as life, health and variable annuity insurance licenses. He received his undergraduate degree in finance from Jacksonville State University in 1999, and his Masters in Business Administration from Samford University in 2001. While pursuing his master’s degree, he was employed by NBC Securities, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama.In 2002, he returned to Farmers & Merchants Bank to begin F&M Investment Services, a division of Farmers & Merchants Bank, which was created to offer investment and insurance products through Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. Presently, Chris and his five-member team continue to provide friendly and professional service, exceed service expectations, and meet the financial services needs of clients.Chris has continued to enhance his abilities and is currently a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. This designation demonstrates his ambition to continue to strengthen his knowledge of the financial planning process to better serve his clients. Chris is dedicated to using the financial planning process to serve the financial needs of individuals, families and businesses. This includes identifying goals and formulating plans for the various stages of life, advising clients on managing their affairs to realize those goals, and monitoring the plans to make adjustments as life changes occur. He has helped many of his clients develop plans in the areas of investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning.Chris is involved in many civic organizations and sits on the boards of numerous local non-profit and charitable organizations. He and his wife, Kelly, attend church at the First United Methodist Church of Piedmont, Alabama. They reside in Jacksonville, Alabama, where some of his hobbies include golf, tennis, water skiing and snow skiing.
| Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in finance from Jacksonville State University in 2005. After graduation Kelly worked as a Sales Assistant for Ameriprise Financial in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2007, Kelly joined Farmers & Merchants Bank in Piedmont, Alabama as a Compliance Associate in the loan department. In 2008, she moved to the investment division of the bank where she took the position of Client Service Manager / Registered Sales Assistant for Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. on the second floor of the F&M Bank in Anniston, Alabama. Kelly is part of a 6-member team that is determined to provide friendly and professional service, exceed service expectations, and meet the financial service needs of clients. Her responsibilities include coordinating communication with outside investment companies, entering mutual fund/equity orders, processing disbursements from client accounts, and preparing necessary reports for client reviews. Kelly coordinates all of the client seminars, as well as the annual golf outing. She is always happy to help clients with administrative questions and concerns. Kelly holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses as well as life, health and variable annuity insurance license. She is currently working on her Masters in Business Administration from Jacksonville State University. Kelly and her husband Chris reside in Jacksonville, Alabama. They attend church at the First United Methodist Church of Piedmont, Alabama. They have one dog, Lexie, who they take on walks around their neighborhood for visiting and exercise. Kelly also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and trying to learn the game of golf.
