Mary has a wealth of experience in the financial services industry, beginning as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in 1983 and serving as a senior portfolio manager at Smith Barney before ultimately establishing her own group at Raymond James in 2009.
As a person who cares about people, Mary feels that Raymond James shares her values and client-centered business philosophy. Clients cite her compassion and intelligence as reasons they enjoy working with her.
A Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, the licenses Mary holds includes Series 7, Series 63, Series 65 and California life and health insurance. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and has also completed Dorsey Wright Advanced Technical Analysis Training.
She believes in contributing time and energy toward helping her community, and this manifests itself in the many positions she has held over the years. They include co-chair of the East Bay Women’s Conference, founding member of the John Muir Hospital Women’s Philanthropic Circle, board member of the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and member of the Friends of Clausen House Dance, an integrative dance program for adults with developmental disabilities.
After traveling with her military family throughout her childhood, she settled in Walnut Creek more than 25 years ago, which is where she now lives with her husband, Peter. They have two children, Jessica and Erica. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing music, theater going, and spending time with friends and family.
