Jonathan Reyes, independent financial consultant with Raymond James, has been in the business for over 20 years. He came from an Asian immigrant family of seven brothers and one sister. He has learned a great deal about saving money from his mother, who managed a household of 11 with a moderate income. His immigrant parents were able to motivate all of their children to better themselves by obtaining college degrees and live the American dream.
Due to the premature death of his father and lack of financial planning, Jonathan helped his mother navigate life’s financial difficulties. She lost her house because she could not pay off the mortgage. And this experience led him to pursue a fulltime career in financial services instead of investment banking.
Jonathan has been married for over 22 years and has five children of his own. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in international business with a minor in managerial economics from Brigham Young University. He is a voracious reader and follower of economic and political events. He believes that people can achieve financial independence because they could learn from his own family experience and knowledge. He practices what he preaches about money management.
Jonathan enjoyes volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, BYU, and his church. He is an avid tennis player.
