John is the founder of the Vance Wealth Group. He started his branch office with Raymond James Financial Services in 2003 at the age of 29. His success, with the help of his qualified staff, revolves around his ability to provide a plan-driven, not product-driven, brand of financial planning.
He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®) and a CERTIFIED DIVORCE FINANCIAL ANALYST™ (CDFA™). John specializes in working with individuals and families to help them address their financial concerns and achieve financial independence. He has extensive experience working with women who are recently widowed or divorced.
John is a Los Angeles native. He currently resides in Valencia and is the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Kate. He enjoys playing golf, basketball, running, swimming, and occasionally competes in triathlons. John attended Santa Clara University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Minor in Economics.
Barbara serves as our Client Service Manager. She initiates all account paperwork and manages all aspects of money movement. Barbara understands the complexities and unique needs of the client and is the go-to person for all of your account needs. She ensures that our clients have a smooth transition to our firm, while providing superior customer service through her dedication and commitment to excellence. Barbara is responsible for our marketing, education, and appreciation events.
Barbara has extensive Executive Administrative Assistant background and client service experience. Barbara is presently a Notary Public. She is an Altadena, California native, but currently lives in Valencia with her husband John and their four children; Chris, Jenn, Josh, and Jesse.
Jerrod is our Financial Planner. He started as an intern in September 2008; while finishing up his Business Management degree at California State University Northridge. Jerrod has obtained the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and has been working more closely with John and his clients. He also holds a Life and Health Insurance license from the California Department of Insurance. Jerrod is currently studying for his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®) license.
Jerrod is responsible for all client "Wealth Management Dashboard" creation and keeps everything up-to-date in regards to their financial plan. Jerrod is responsible for the preparation and organization of due diligence for our monthly investment committee meetings and handles all trading activity.
Staying active is number one in Jerrod's life. Jerrod has recently competed in two Sprint Triathlons and sees more to come in his future. He also frequents his family's lake house in Lake Arrowhead where he enjoys snowboarding and wakeboarding.
