Employee Benefits Planning

Your company isn’t just a business. It’s your livelihood. At Keating & Associates, we realize the pressure small business owners are under to compete. Attracting and retaining talent is no easy feat when employee benefits are much more accessible to larger companies. And if offering the right benefits isn’t demanding enough, keeping up with the ever-changing rules and regulations while focusing on your business can seem nearly impossible.

Let us help you meet the challenge. We have expertise in retirement, flex-savings, and group health and voluntary insurance planning. We will tailor plans to accommodate your company’s specific needs, and then educate and enroll you and your staff in those plans on site. However, we’ll never bombard you with multiple education sessions on different topics – your time and your employees’ time is too valuable. And beyond saving time, we also aim to save you money by reducing your company’s payroll taxes and taxable income through benefits offerings.

Additionally, we keep up with constantly changing benefits regulations, leaving you free to do what you do best – run your company. And when it comes to your own personal goals, such as retirement or expanding the company, your vision is our vision – together, we’ll strive to make that vision a reality.

Pensions/Retirement

The financial future of you and your employees is a major reason you all show up to work each day. Having retirement plans in place that are tailored to meet your organization’s and individual employees’ needs and objectives is important. With more than 30 years of retirement planning and administration experience, our abilities go well beyond customizing plans, handling annual administration, educating employees and ensuring employers are meeting their fiduciary responsibilities – we can help you and your employees lay the ground work for a solid financial future.

Retirement Plan Advisory

When it comes to your company’s retirement plan, don’t underestimate the value of supplementing personal investment advice with powerful technology. Using leading-edge online tools and hands-on service, our team will generate customized risk profiles for each of your employees and make quarterly recommendations based on the investments in your company’s retirement plan. This use of technology does not replace the one-on-one interaction, but rather enhances your employees’ experiences as they receive timely and accurate data about their investments, as well as personalized guidance.

Cafeteria Plans*

One of the most under-used employee benefits for small businesses, cafeteria plans, or flex-savings plans, allow employees to set aside a portion of their pre-tax salaries for qualifying insurance premiums, medical expenses and even childcare expenses. They also reduce your payroll tax liability and, depending on the state where a business operates, may also reduce workers compensation costs. Our team can provide you with a variety of valuable services to support cafeteria plans, including rapid turn-around on claims submissions for reimbursable medical/dental and dependent care expenses.

Voluntary Insurance*

Voluntary insurance is a valuable – and sometimes overlooked – benefit that can help you retain employees and save money on payroll taxes. An easy way to expand your benefits package at no cost to your company, this benefit allows employees to purchase supplemental insurance policies and pay for them through payroll deduction. Our voluntary insurance offerings include universal life, short-term disability, cancer, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plans.

Group Health Insurance*

We offer partially self-insured plans along with health savings accounts. With self-insured plans, you pay for smaller claims up to a pre-set dollar amount, and then rely on the partnership with your insurer to provide stop-loss insurance for the unexpected and more costly claims. As a small business owner, these programs allow you to cut your premium costs and build a reserve pool. Not only will we coordinate your group health plan, but we can administer the program as well.
