Prior to working with Keating, Mr. Furrey served honorably in the United States Army for four years – including a 13 month tour of duty in Iraq. He is still active in the Kansas Army National Guard. Keating brought Mr. Grogan on board in 1992 as an insurance agent. Mr. Nickel joined Keating & Associates in 1985 after a 12-year banking career. He is currently Keating’s branch manager, offering securities through Raymond James Financial Services. He helps individuals with managing their assets to generate retirement income, while at the same time looking for strategies to reduce risk and ensure a meaningful inheritance is available for future generations.

Paul was named as one of the Top 100 Branch Managers in America by On Wall Street magazine in 2009. Mr. Weigel serves as Keating & Associates’ “Medicare Coach.” He works primarily with seniors, and specializes in medical risk insurance planning. This includes protecting clients’ retirement principal with long-term care insurance, individual medical insurance and Medicare planning. Mr. Weigel works with his clients to make every aspect of Medicare understandable, and to find the best combination of strategies for each individual. He is a Certified Long-Term Care Planner, and a member of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1967 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and later with a master’s degree in education.

Mr. Weigel periodically conducts meetings in long-term care facilities and other venues to explain and answer questions about Medicare. He is well-known and highly trusted throughout Manhattan as an expert on Medicare and other products and strategies for seniors.

Ms. Dorgan, a financial advisor with Keating & Associates, has worked in the financial industry since 1981. Prior to joining Keating in 2010, she worked with financial advisory and investment banking services firm Duff & Phelps, where she specialized in valuing closely held companies and providing support for liquidity events, corporate restructurings as part of estate plans employee and executive compensation plans. Later, at Harris Bank/Bank of Montreal, she focused on incubating and developing product, market and distribution strategies for $5 million-plus and $50 million-plus net-worth markets and co-managing a multi-billion endowment portfolio.

Her vast experience allows her to help clients build confidence regarding their financial decisions. She particularly enjoys working with independent women who are managing their own businesses or newly independent women managing their money alone for the first time. She strives to alleviate anxiety by building their confidence in overseeing their finances.

Ms. Dorgan is a graduate of the esteemed University of Chicago, obtaining an Bachelor of Arts with honors in economics in 1980 and an Master of Business Administration with a specialization in finance and concentration in accounting in 1984.
