About Us

Born in Watsonville, California - 1962, I moved with my family to Central Oregon in 1970. Central Oregon offered our family a wonderful life style and the opportunity to grow the family cattle and equipment business. I currently manage Raymond James offices in Central Oregon. I also continue in a minimal capacity as owner of Larkin Technology Inc. which holds four US patents and offering occasional consulting in manufacturing and fabrication design. My wife, Rebecca, and I enjoy the outdoors, exercising, vacationing, working with our small cattle herd, spending time with family and being involved with our church. Rebecca is a very talented and hard working Kindergarten teacher, and when time allows enjoys quilting with family & friends. I have three great children, Jared, Ashlee and Grace.
Graduating from Redmond High School in 1980, I continued my education through Mt. Hood Community College, Oregon State University and The College for Financial planning in Denver, Colorado. I currently hold an Investment Management Consultant designation and a financial AAMS classification. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experiences that business ownership, management, accounting, and marketing have added to my life.
In 2000 I assumed control of the family financial advisory business from my father Dean Larkin, Dean was a financial advisor for 24 years. Since, I have brought my son, Jared Larkin (third generation), into the business in 2005. Together we work as a team to advise our clients and their investment assets.
The most rewarding aspect of my business is working the entire financial plan with our clients, placing an emphasis on estate planning; working with estate attorneys, and CPA's has been vital to our clients and their beneficiaries over the years. I can honestly say, I look forward to going to work - I love my profession and the people I have the pleasure of working with, for that, I am thankful.
Born and raised in Central Oregon, Redmond is my home town. Central Oregon has gone through many changes in the past 10 years, yet maintains its small town feel. I am proud of my community and enjoy volunteering; I am the President of the local Kiwanis club, help out with many Chamber of Commerce activities -Including Leadership Redmond and YPN, and I also volunteer at my church.
Education is important to me; I received a B.S. in Business from Western Oregon University. In 2008, after over 1,000 hours of studying, and qualifying exams - I am now a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Currently I am a candidate for becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst. I am a third generation Financial Advisor. Dean Larkin, my grandfather, started the advisory business my father and I now run. I often seek advice from the combined 50 years of experience that Julie Johnson (a retired partner from San Francisco) and my grandfather have.
For me, my career is about people - about families, goals, dreams, hopes... the money - the investments, they help get us to where we need to go... but the job is about people.
I was born and raised in Pendleton, Oregon. I moved to Central Oregon 5 years ago with my husband Danny. Danny and I chose Central Oregon to be closer to family and for the opportunities and lifestyle the area has to offer. We have two wonderful children, Cutter and Tenley. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hunting, peewee rodeo with Cutter, and spending time with family. I attended University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and majored in accounting, graduating with a B.A. from the University of Wyoming. I plan to obtain my series 7 licensing, and ultimately would like to become a financial advisor. I enjoy working with clients, and being a part of the team here at Raymond James.
Raymond James is one of the largest independent financial services firms in the United States. Since its beginning in 1962, it has always been a different kind of company – embracing long-term planning and methodical decision-making while staying uncompromisingly client focused. When other firms were simply buying and selling stocks or mutual funds, Raymond James focused on financial planning to help individuals reach their goals. It was the first firm to pioneer that concept – and today it supports its advisors with access to a full range of comprehensive resources, helping them to do the same.
- More than 5,400 financial advisors
- 2 million client accounts
- 2,400 locations (United States, Canada and abroad)
- $268 billion in client assets
- $35 billion managed by its subsidiary asset managers
Raymond James Financial was recently named the best full-service broker in the 2011 SmartMoney annual broker survey for the third time in four years – ranking above Edward Jones, Wells Fargo, UBS, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
