For more than 25 years, Franklin has been a part of the Lentz-Dodd Financial Group, An Independent Firm – a company his father founded in 1962. He aims to continue to run the business the way his father created it, with a foundation of trust and honesty. Specializing in insurance, investment management and retirement income, Franklin helps his clients understand the complexity of investments and guides them in making sound financial decisions.
He joined Raymond James in 2013, attracted by the company’s resources and technology.
The Gainesville native attended Stetson University and the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a major in finance and a minor in insurance.
He is an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville and serves on the advisory board of the Children’s Home Society and the executive board for Tyler’s Hope for a Dystonia Cure. He is married to Cathy; they have three children, Tripp, Sarah Elizabeth and Elle.
Chris, part owner in Lentz-Dodd Financial Group, An Independent Firm, brings expertise in financial planning and investment management to the team. An excellent communicator, he enjoys helping people plan for the future and consulting on important decisions.
He joined Raymond James in 2013, impressed by the people, the culture, and the technology and resources it had to offer.
The Gainesville native earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida
He lives in Gainesville with his wife, Deidre; they have two children, Emma and Mae. Away from the office, Chris enjoys boating and the beach and serves as a volunteer coach and manager for the Gainesville Soccer Alliance.
Angel, who has been a part of the practice for 17 years, makes sure that our clients receive the best possible service. Her dedication and friendly demeanor complement her role as a liaison between clients and the team.
Originally from Alabama, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville, a town she now calls home.
She dedicates much of her free time to helping local charities. She serves on the executive board of the Will Muschamp Scramble for Kids, acts as secretary of the board for the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County and volunteers with the Doug Johnson Reeling for Kids Benefit. Angel is currently chairwoman of the Caribbean Cruise Gala for Kids to benefit the Boys & Girls Club.

Because of Raymond James’ agency-based business model and commitment to client service, this was our first, last and only unprofitable quarter since the firm went public.
