Jeff McDonald and Ned Barry have a combined 40-plus years experience as financial planners and investment advisor representatives. They lead the McDonald and Barry Retiree Asset Management (MBRAM) team that specializes in asset management for retirees. Jeff and Ned chose Raymond James & Associates, Inc., based on their belief that it is the best platform from which to serve retirees.

Jeff McDonald chose Raymond James & Associates, Inc., after 15 years' experience as a financial advisor with Smith Barney. Jeff focuses on supporting retirees' lifestyles by creating strategies designed for income and growing assets. Using the comprehensive range of financial resources provided by Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Jeff is up to date on today’s vast array of investment options and combines that knowledge with the kind of personal service that each investor has the right to expect from his or her financial advisor. Jeff has a well-deserved reputation for taking the time to understand each client’s retirement dreams and then formulating a financial plan that offers personalized, and often uniquely suited, investment alternatives. In their free time, Jeff and his wife Terri live in Marion County, Florida, and enjoy boating. Jeff is almost a Florida native in that he and his family have been Florida residents for more than 40 years and Ocala residents the past 20-plus years.

Ned Barry chose Raymond James & Associates, Inc., after eight years' experience as a financial advisor with Smith Barney. Ned advises clients within the United States and abroad from the MBRAM offices in Crystal River, Florida, and Ocala, Florida. Ned frequently meets clients out of the office at the location of their convenience. However, Ned remains in constant contact with his client service assistant. She is able to put you in touch with Ned wherever Ned happens to be when you call. Ned also provides his clients with a direct telephone number that they can call at any time, including nights and weekends.

Prior to joining Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Ned spent 20-plus years in private and corporate law practice and in financial planning for individuals and businesses. Ned has more than 30 years' experience investing in equities, real estate and direct participation programs. Ned is passionate about working closely with each client to help make sure he or she remains on the charted course aimed at achieving retirement financial success.

While currently retired from active military service, Ned is grateful to have been able to serve his country for four years on active duty with the U.S. Army – rising from Private to Captain – and 22 years as a weekend warrior with the National Guard and Army Reserve – rising from Captain to Colonel. He has served as an Infantry Private, an Artillery Battery Commander, and Staff Judge Advocate of what, at the time, was the largest combat unit in the Army Reserve. Ned has led two Rotary Clubs as their president and been active at the Rotary District level on both the Rotary Foundation and the International Youth Exchange Committees. Ned is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and has been honored with a Rotary Service Above Self award. Ned has also served as deacon, elder, Sunday school teacher, chairman of the annual fund campaign and chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee of his church.

Ned and his wife, Sue, live in Citrus County, Florida and enjoy the lakes, rivers, bays, Gulf, bike trails and wildlife of Florida’s “Nature Coast.” Yes, there are alligators but there are also manatees – the gentle giants that come to play with you when you are snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. In their free time, Ned and Sue enjoy tennis, golf, kayaking, biking, bridge and traveling to visit their grown children and to see the world.

Ned is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and The University of Iowa, College of Law. He holds both Series 7 and Series 63 general securities registrations. Ned holds series 31 managed futures registration. He is also licensed to provide life and long-term care insurance as well as fixed and variable annuities.
