About Sacha Millstone

An investment manager with more than $230 million in assets under management, 20 years experience, and over 450 clients in 37 states, Sacha Millstone is dedicated to helping clients attain their financial goals. As senior vice president of investments with the Millstone Evans Group of Raymond James & Associates, she focuses on retirement, education, and estate planning, investment management, and working with recipients of inherited wealth.

Prior to joining Raymond James & Associates in 1994, Sacha was a vice president at Ferris, Baker Watts, Incorporated and Smith Barney. During her career, her goal has remained constant: empower clients to create portfolios that manage risk while reaping returns.

Sacha helps clients manage portfolios, analyze insurance needs, select and execute company retirement plans, establish 529s and education plans, develop and implement estate plans and retirement strategies, and create charitable trusts and family foundations.

Sacha’s client-centered approach emphasizes education – on markets and valuation – as the foundation of building a strategic investment portfolio. A unique aspect of her practice is the use of Financial DNA, a diagnostic tool that enables her to quickly understand her clients’ decision-making styles, risk tolerance, and communication styles.

An early advocate of socially-responsible investing, Sacha helps her clients create investment portfolios that reflect their values areas including the environment, corporate governance, green building and alternative energy.

Sacha is a specialist in Sudden Money^™, enabling clients to develop the roadmap to transform a lump sum into lifetime financial security. A member of the Sudden Money Institute, she is one of the group’s network of advisors trained in life transition planning.

Sacha has been interviewed by, and written articles for, many publications, among them U.S. News and World Report, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Business Today, The Denver Business Journal, The Daily Camera, and the Boulder County Business Report.

She has published articles about investment management in Concerned Investor newsletter and co-authored The Greening of American Business: Making Bottom-Line Sense out of Environmental Responsibility. She has appeared on National Public Radio, CNN, and network and local news programs discussing a wide range of financial topics, including education funding, retirement planning, socially responsible investing, and Sudden Money.

Sacha has offices in Boulder, Colorado and Washington, D.C. She received her M.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University, in Washington, D.C., and her B.A. in Economics from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.

A dedicated volunteer leader, Sacha spearheaded a mentoring program for at-risk Hispanic high school girls through the Boulder Rotary Club and, as a member of the Highland City Club, created the monthly Arts Around Town series to showcase local cultural events, artists, and arts organizations.
