Socially Responsible Investing

One of our specialties is helping individuals who want their investment choices to reflect their core social, political and/or spiritual philosophies. We help our clients identify those companies and mutual funds that conduct business in a way that does not conflict with their own deeply held personal convictions. To that end we employ a number of screening techniques to identify suitable investments. We see our role as providers of information to help our clients make socially responsible investment decisions with which they feel comfortable. We do not tell our clients what is or is not socially responsible. In our experience the definition of "socially responsible" is going to be different for each individual.
Of course, we understand that socially concerned investors pursue the same basic goals as all investors: generating income or capital gains and/or preserving capital for future needs. That's why we apply the same financial analysis to socially responsible investments that we do to non-screened investments so that all of our clients can meet their stated goals for good returns as well.
Very few financial advisors in the field possess Sacha Millstone's knowledge and experience in Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). She has practiced SRI since 1986.
