To develop your financial plan, we follow a comprehensive, six-step process. It is designed to help us develop a true sense of who you are and what you expect, so that we can build a unique strategy to see you through the saving, growth and, ultimately, the careful distribution of your retirement income.
We believe that the key to a successful relationship with our clients is to have a comprehensive understanding of their financial situation, so that priorities and goals can be better defined. Effective and open communication is paramount to achieving that successful relationship. We need to understand your core concerns, needs, values, and interests to develop the most personalized and effective financial plan.
We assemble all information regarding your financial situation, mutually define your personal and financial goals, understand your time frame for results and discuss your tolerance level for risk. This is vital information we need before moving forward.
We analyze this information to assess your current situation and determine what action is required to meet your goals. This step may include analyzing your assets, liabilities, cash flow, investments and tax planning strategies. We also consider these important areas.
Retirement needs: How much do you need to live comfortably?
Education needs: Is college in the future for your child or grandchild?
Insurance needs: Are you prepared for the unexpected?
Estate planning: Is there a succession or legacy plan for your assets?
Risk profile: What is your risk tolerance?
Portfolio analysis: Is your portfolio appropriately structured and tax efficient?
We offer financial planning recommendations that address your goals, based on the information you provided. We review the recommendations with you and help you understand them, so you can make informed decisions. We carefully listen to your questions and concerns and revise our recommendations, as appropriate.
Once the financial plan meets with your approval, we carry out our recommendations, coordinating the process with you and, when appropriate, other professional advisors, such as your accountant or attorney.
We will monitor the progress toward your goals and report to you periodically, review your situation and adjust the plan, if needed, as your life changes. Meeting with you at regular intervals gives us further opportunities to connect with you and build our professional relationship.
