Irv Munn is a Certified Financial Planner™ and president of Munn & Morris Financial Advisors. He is also a certified public accountant and was the president of Irving Munn, P.C., a public accounting firm until he sold the firm several years ago to focus his full attention on financial planning. He has been providing financial planning services to clients for over 30 years.

In addition to his certification as a CPA and CFP® professional, Irv holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and a Texas life and health insurance license. He is a frequent speaker on various business, tax and financial planning topics. He also taught a course for many years on how to start, operate and finance your own business.

Irv graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He received a Master of Public Health degree in Health Administration from the University of Texas in 1973. He subsequently completed his accounting studies through the graduate program at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Irv has been married to his wife Cindy for 39 years. They have two children – Jeff, who is an engineer with National Instruments in Austin, and Kimberly, who is the Manager of Accounting for Village Enterprise, a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit focused on poverty alleviation in East Africa. Kimberly also provides consulting on international programs for We Care Solar, a non-profit.

With a strong belief of giving back to the community, Irv volunteers with several non-profit organizations. He is the president of Dallas Domestic Violence Legal Help Center and a board member of Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas. When not at work or volunteering, he enjoys playing softball. He also plays golf and hopes to eventually enjoy it.
