Jeff Kort joined Munn & Morris Financial Advisors after completing the SMU Certificate Program in Financial Planning and passing the certification examination. He credits his former employer, Sprint, with providing him with a wonderful twenty-four year career, and sponsorship of both his MBA and financial planning certification.
As a finance, marketing and sales manager at Sprint, Jeff helped the company grow by working with his teams to improve their performance and provide great support for their customers. Keeping his "manager mentality", Jeff now enjoys helping clients develop and achieve their specific goals through personal financial planning and wealth management.
After graduating from Indiana University, Jeff began his career as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers in his hometown of Kansas City. Jeff earned a Masters of Business Administration while working at Sprint beginning at Kennesaw State while he lived in Atlanta, and finishing at Amberton University after moving to Dallas.
Jeff and his wife, Kimberly, love to travel and enjoy making new friends as well as seeing old friends on their journeys. Trips back to Kansas City for family visits, Chiefs and Royals games, and barbecues, are staples too. Their children, Dylan and Sydney, are their biggest joy, and, even in high school, are still willing and interested in travelling and being with their parents.
Jeff also enjoys his roles as a third grade Sunday school teacher, docent coordinator and 50th anniversary co-chair at Temple Shalom, treasurer and merit badge counselor for Boy Scout Troop 444 at Arapaho United Methodist Church, and supporting the North Texas Food Bank to help reduce hunger in our area.
Since his youth as an Eagle Scout, family and friends find Jeff to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, and thrifty, (as well as somewhat obedient, periodically brave, predominately clean, and regularly reverent).
