Effectively Gaining Referrals

• Thank your clients for sending you referrals. Send a packet of Forget-Me-Not flower seeds and write a note, “Thanks for the referral. Forget Me Not in the future.”

• Host a client-of-the-month dinner for the client who provides the most referrals. Publish his or her name in your monthly newsletter, if you have one.

• Make a charitable donation when you receive referrals. Send a card to your client saying, “You helped me. I would like to help others.” Send the check anonymously. Clients like it and charities receive much-needed donations.
