Q: When was The Network for Women Advisors established?
A: In 1994, a group of women advisors approached the president of the firm and requested a way to interact with each other on a more regular basis. They realized the need to communicate with each other. They wanted to grow their practices. From this initial inquiry, the first Women’s Symposium was planned and held in St. Petersburg, Florida. Now in its 13th year, the Women’s Symposium is the premier event of The Network for Women Advisors; more than 120 women attended our last event. We add unique value in part because of the longstanding and advanced nature of our efforts.

A: As a Raymond James financial advisor, you’re automatically included in most of the group’s activities. You determine your level of engagement – but all our resources are yours to use as you build a more successful business.
Q: What types of programs does The Network for Women Advisors provide?
A: The Network provides various programs for advisors to participate in including the Coaching Group, Working Smarter Series and a mentoring program for new financial advisors. In addition, The Network holds education and roundtable meetings several times throughout the year in various locations.
Q: What is the Women’s Advisory Council?
A: The Women’s Advisory Council consists of 12 financial advisors with a diverse combination of experience and business styles. The Council acts as a steering committee in helping the Network’s executive team identify and implement strategies designed to further support our financial advisors.
