History and Mission

Our Mission
The Network for Women Advisors was created by and for the more than 600 women financial professionals who have chosen to affiliate with Raymond James. Our mission is to continue our longstanding tradition of supporting our women advisors by giving them the tools and resources to help them take their practices to new levels of success. Through a collection of activities and resources, the Network encourages and enables women advisors to expand their knowledge, expertise and businesses in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Our History
The Raymond James Network for Women Advisors is organically grown, the result of an impetus for change. Many years ago, women advisors at Raymond James came together to build what they needed. Doing this came naturally to them, as women and as business owners.

In the spring of 1994, a group of successful women advisors attended a conference at Raymond James. They realized that they rarely had the opportunity to network with other women advisors, and decided to hold a half-day event to be attended exclusively by women advisors. The Women’s Symposium, our flagship event, was born.

Now in its 16th year, The Network for Women Advisors is remarkable in many ways. Backed by the philosophical and financial support of the firm, the group retains a dedicated staff to make sure its goals are reached. A 13-member Women's Advisory Council provides guidance and direction in a constantly evolving marketplace. And the women advisors of Raymond James take advantage of the value that The Network for Women Advisors brings; attendance at our events is growing every year, and advisors across the firm use our services and support.

Because of the unique nature of this initiative and the benefit it provides, The Network for Women Advisors has been featured in industry magazines as the best-developed women’s program on The Street.
