Senior Vice President/Partner, NYWM
Financial Advisor, RJFS
Steven’s experience in financial services spans more than 20 years. After earning his undergraduate degree at Syracuse University, he began his journey on Wall Street at Lehman brothers – working with individual high-net-worth investors. From there Steven was recruited by J.P. Morgan where, for the next 10 years, he dedicated himself to helping baby boomer clients plan and invest prudently for the long term to weather the type of financial uncertainties experienced over the last decade.
After years working with the Wall Street approach to client service, Steven sought out a more open-minded, customer-focused firm that was still large enough to offer full service and the full array of resources and investments to which he was accustomed. He found that firm in Raymond James via New York Wealth Management.
Steven embraces a holistic approach to investing capital for individuals and institutions – as opposed to the "tunnel vision" he often observes among his industry peers. His objective is to guide clients through both the accumulation/growth stages of investing and the retirement/income phase to help maximize success. One of his greatest joys and areas of expertise involves learning about a client’s family dynamics in order to create customized legacy, tax and estate plans.
Steven passionately believes that each client is unique and requires a custom¬-made portfolio to accommodate his or her own level of risk tolerance. To help manage his own tolerance for market risk and counteract the fast pace of Wall Street and the financial markets, Steven regularly practices and is certified to teach yoga.
