Release No. 0507-13 RAYMOND JAMES FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – In a continuing move to expand and diversify the business development team for Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. member NASD/SIPC, Bill Van Law, senior vice president and national director of business development announced today the hiring of six new consultants. “This new class of recruiters adds exceptional depth and experience to our team,” said Van Law. “We are confident that having these talented individuals on board will help us achieve our long term goal of becoming the premier financial services firm. We are especially pleased to be able to add so much depth in all regions of the country.” Joining RJFS in the Pacific Northwest region from Morgan Stanley in Cincinnati, OH is Michael Chu, who was vice president and complex branch manager responsible for daily operations and management of three Morgan Stanley offices in southern Ohio and northern Kentucky. Chu was recognized four years in a row with the “Manager’s Leadership” award and, prior to his tenure as branch manager, was a highly successful financial advisor receiving the national sales director’s annual award four times. Chu will be based in Seattle, WA. Jeff Drejza has joined RJFS from AIG/Royal Alliance where as vice president, Western regional recruiter for branch office development he managed and supported the recruiting efforts for all states west of the eastern seaboard. In 2005, he grew his region by more than 200 advisors with over $21 million in documented GDC. Drejza will be based in Birmingham, MI. serving the Midwest region. Christian Williams, with 14 years of industry experience, will be based in Charlotte, NC, serving the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. He most recently ran the retail division of UBS offices for half the state of North Carolina, and previously served as business development officer for their Eastern division. During his tenure he helped recruit over 50 financial advisers from various firms with gross revenues of over $35 million. In 2006, he was in the top five percent of all directors for UBS. While earning his degrees in economics and political science at Florida State University, Williams was captain of the FSU golf team and was twice named an All-American and Academic All-American. Joining RJFS from LPL Financial Services, where he was an assistant vice president of business development in their North region, Ed Rodriguez will be based in San Diego, CA and recruiting in the western states. While with LPL, Rodriguez recruited over 150 advisors from over 20 firms with a total of more than $30 million in gross revenues. In addition to providing business consulting solutions for the branches, he presented profitability analyses to branch managers and helped source sales opportunities for advisory, insurance and trust services. John Schoppe will be based in Boca Raton, FL and serve Florida and the Northeast regions. Schoppe has six years industry experience and comes to RJFS from Ameriprise Financial Services where he was a Field Vice President. He was the #1 Field Vice President in the country multiple times and was ranked among the top five for most of 2005 and 2006. A business economics and computer science graduate from the University of Maine at Farmington, Schoppe is a Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor. Donna Loufman, a 21-year veteran of Raymond James, will be joining the business development team of RJFS serving the northeast region. She comes from Raymond James & Associates where she was vice president and assistant manager of retail taxable fixed income. A summa cum laude graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, Loufman has had extensive experience working with advisors and their high net worth clients during invitational visits to the home office. She will be based in St. Petersburg, Fla. These six new business development consultants begin their comprehensive three month training program this week.
