January 16, 2008 RAYMOND JAMES LEADS LIST OF ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC, led all other broker/dealers with 15 affiliated advisors on Registered Rep.’s Top 50 Independent Advisors list. Appearing in the January 2008 issue, the national list ranked financial advisors by assets under management. “I am proud that RJFS is the firm with the most advisors on this list of the nation’s Top 50,” said RJFS Chairman and CEO, Dick Averitt. “It’s a testament to the success we have had in attracting and meeting the needs of top quality professionals, and underscores my belief that you don’t have to have the largest number of advisors to be the best firm.” Placing among the top fifteen were RJFS advisors Mal Makin (Westerly, R.I.) with $850 million in assets under management at No. 5, Gerard A. Klingman (New York, N.Y.) $800 million at No. 6, Randy Carver (Mentor, Ohio) $680 million at No. 9, Van Pearcy, (Midland, Texas) $574 million at No. 11 and Mark Smith (Englewood, Colo.) $540 million at No.15. Each of these financial advisors has been in the advisory business a minimum of 20 years with Mal Makin celebrating more than 30.
