RAYMOND JAMES CARES MONTH CONTINUES
TO GROW, REFLECTS CULTURE OF GIVING

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James financial advisors and associates volunteered a record number of hours in support of Raymond James Cares Month in August. More than 2,200 professionals in 102 local communities across 31 states contributed 6,562 hours to benefit 145 organizations. The number of volunteer hours reflects a 17% increase from 2015.

Raymond James Cares is a coordinated, firm-wide community-service program that encourages advisors and associates to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work. While the firm supports community service efforts and charitable giving throughout the year, August serves as Raymond James Cares Month to inspire a collective effort and impact.

“Serving our communities is a core part of who we are as a company,” said CEO Paul Reilly.  “Our associates continue to demonstrate their dedication to giving back, not only during Raymond James Cares month, but throughout the entire year. I’m proud to lead a team that truly values philanthropy.”

Advisors and associates collected and donated food, clothes, school supplies and pet supplies; built homes and beautified local nonprofit organizations; prepared and served meals to the homeless and families of sick children receiving medical treatment; donated hair to make wigs for cancer patients; taught children about financial literacy; and packaged goods at multiple food banks.

Since the inception of Raymond James Cares Month in 2012, associates have volunteered more than 23,500 hours.

Raymond James and its associates poured more than $5 million into communities across the country through the annual United Way Suncoast workplace giving campaign, earning second place on the 2015 “United Way Top 100 Most Generous Workplaces” list. In addition, associates are involved in numerous organizations across the nation, including civic clubs, schools, chambers of commerce and social services.
