James "Parker" Lumpkin II

Financial Advisor, Raymond James Financial Services

"My unique background and experience in real estate, business and investments allow me to make a meaningful and positive difference in people's financial lives. It doesn't take long before our clients become friends, then part of our extended family. My sons and I truly believe in faith, family and friends, and it shows in what we do every day."

Parker attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar. He went on to attend the Babcock Graduate School of Management, then earned a juris doctorate degree from Wake Forest's School of Law. This former lawyer became a financial consultant back in 1984, first with Merrill Lynch, then Interstate/Johnson Lane before going independent with Resource Management Associates in 1989. Now he and sons Tripp and Arturo work together to create individualized financial plans to help meet their clients' investment goals.

He and his wife, Lynda, are both active volunteers in their community. In fact, they were honored as Franklin County's Co-Citizens of the Year in 1994 for their outstanding commitment to the area. Parker has served on the board of a number of organizations for many years. In that time, he has served as a past president of the Louisburg/Franklin County Chamber of Commerce; co-founder and past president of both Franklin County Habitat for Humanity and Franklin County Ducks Unlimited; past president and chairman of the board of the North Carolina Forestry Association; and a former member of the boards of trustees for St. Timothy's Middle/Hale High School, Ravenscroft School, Louisburg College, NC State University Investment Fund (endowments) and the NC Forestry Foundation. Parker remains active on the NC Forestry Association board of directors and is very active in his beloved Louisburg Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. In his down time, Parker can be found hunting, fishing or traveling with his family and friends.

James Parker Lumpkin III ("Tripp")

Financial Advisor, Raymond James Financial Services

"My father, brother and I all have a passion to truly serve our clients. We talk with our clients on a regular basis and continually strive to preserve their assets and plan for their financial futures."

After earning a communications degree from Wake Forest University, Tripp joined with his father. To add even more value, he has earned Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as insurance licenses for life, health and long-term care. Always driven, he has also completed all five of the Certified Financial Planner™ modules.

A North Carolina native, Tripp's community pride shows through service as an active member of Kappa Alpha Order and the Edenton Street United Methodist Church. He also volunteers with the March of Dimes. He and his wife, Jennifer, live in Raleigh and enjoy spending time with their daughter Evelyn. They also enjoy traveling, hunting, fishing, movies and watching collegiate and professional sports, particularly the Carolina Panthers and Hurricanes, as well as the Wake Forest football and basketball teams.

Arturo Ynocencio Casanova Lumpkin

Financial Advisor, Raymond James Financial Services

"I love being part of a multigenerational team serving successive generations of clients. My family has a legacy of providing the best, most professional and most knowledgeable service possible, and our clients proudly recommend us to those they care about. That's such an honor for us."

After a varied career in computer and electrical engineering, spanning everything from designing and testing hardware and software to managing projects and maintaining servers, Arturo leapt at the chance to follow his father and brother into the family business of offering investment advice to respected clients. After years in the corporate world, he learned he truly enjoyed the chance to work one on one with various clients, helping them achieve their objectives. His analytical mind serves him well in his role as a financial advisor, where he uses complex computer analytics to run account projections, and then distills the information into easily understood charts and graphs. His computer knowledge also helped broaden the practice, making it more efficient.

A North Carolina native, Arturo graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with bachelor's degrees in computer and electrical engineering. While there, he studied in Cuba as part of the University Scholars Program and completed the University Cooperative Education Program. He continued his education, earning a master's in computer engineering. He also holds Series 7, 66, 9, and 10 licenses, as well as insurance licenses for life, health, and long-term care.

Arturo is an active member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, the Hope Lutheran Church in Wake Forest, and the Public Affairs Committee of the North Carolina Forestry Association. When he has time, you can find him hunting, fishing, playing pool, camping, and watching movies, collegiate, and professional sports. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca, his son Henry, and his two daughters Genevieve and Margaret.

Linda Gupton West

Administrative Assistant, Raymond James Financial Services

"Our team is a great big happy family. I have been so honored to work with the Lumpkins for so many years. We all want to ensure each client is satisfied with the work we do for them and happy to associate with us."

Known as friendly and honest, Linda has been with the Lumpkin team for more than four decades, joining in 1969 after a stint at the North Carolina Department of Education. She was always a hard worker, graduating Gold Sand High School as valedictorian then going on to Louisburg College to earn a business degree. These days, her administrative duties include managing the office, keeping the books and greeting clients on the phone or in person. She also helps her husband, Charlie, run the farm where she grew up and helps with the accounting for his grading business.

Linda is an active member of Mount Gilead Independent Baptist Church, where she is a Sunday school teacher, choir member and treasurer. In her free time, she gardens, reads, takes walks on the beach and spends time with her children, Dalton, Brian and Crystal, as well as her three grandchildren.

Janice D. Gilliam

Administrative Assistant, Raymond James Financial Services

"I am never too busy to stop and help the person I am speaking with either on the telephone or in person. I truly love meeting so many different and interesting people, and I strive to make each client feel comfortable in knowing their business is important to us and appreciated. I want them to know I am here to serve their needs as best as I can."

Janice has been her team's administrative assistant for more than two decades, originally joining in 1990. Always a people person, she takes pride in helping establish and maintain client accounts. Clients usually hear her voice first when calling the office, and she enjoys the opportunity to assist them with operational questions. Before that she was a transcriptionist with W.H. Trentman Mental Health and the utilities clerk for the town of Louisburg. A lifelong resident of North Carolina, she lives in Louisburg with her husband, Tim, and spends time gardening, cooking and fishing. Her favorite activity, though, is spending time with her children, Susan, Raynor and Morgan, while thoroughly spoiling her grandchildren.
