Steve began his career with MetLife and Dean Witter before landing at Investment Management & Research (the forerunner to Raymond James Financial Services) in 1989. In only four years, Steve built one of the premier Raymond James offices in the country, becoming a member of the Chairman's Council in 1993, a place he holds to this day.

Steve built his practice with an intense focus on medical stock and utilizing what he calls the "Premium Equity Income Strategy." Over the years Steve built wealth for clients by finding winners in names like Amgen, Upjohn, Pharmacia, Chiron, and most recently, Celgene.

Steve believes in a multipronged plan to create wealth. Other areas of focus include offerings from the Raymond James Syndicate Desk, structured notes from Raymond James Alternative Investments, and guaranteeing lifetime income and the opportunity for growth using the best-fitting products from PCA, the annuity and insurance department at Raymond James.

Steve also has a passion for red wine, and has hosted many a client event that has either started or ended in his wine cellar, which he completed in 2007. "I've been fortunate to visit some of the great wine regions of the world over the past few years," remarks Reznik. And when Steve isn't researching investment ideas, he's likely to be researching the latest Gator football recruit. This passion for Florida football leads him to make half-a-dozen trips to Gainesville each fall to his sky box, where he doesn't just uncork a bottle to toast victory, but camaraderie.

Jason Brienen adds 13 years of financial planning experience to the group. Jason works primarily with clients who are seeking to maximize their retirement nest eggs, and then helps them develop strategies for planning lifetime income as they approach and enter retirement. He also specializes in helping small business owners and professionals maximize their retirement plans. College Savings (529) Plans are another area a focus for Jason.

Jason is a 1994 graduate of The College of Business at The Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Prior to college, Jason served two years in the United States Army as a stinger missile operator.

Jason and his wife, Joyce, live in the Killearn Estates community in Tallahassee. Jason is active in the Killearn Homeowners Association and currently serves on the KHA School Zoning Committee. Joyce maintains a family website (tallahasseelassie4.blogspot.com) where you can learn all about their three children, Ben, Aaron, and Zemi.

The Brienens are active members of Four Oaks Community Church (fouroakschurch.com) where Jason teaches 1st grade Sunday School and Joyce serves in the nursery (currently on hiatus caring for Zemi!). They also support A Woman's Pregnancy Center (awpc.cc), where Jason serves as a member of the Financial Oversight Committee.

Jason worked to get his Leon County Substitute Teaching Certification in the spring of '07. "The boys absolutely love it when I can come in and sub in one of their classes. I better enjoy it now, because they probably won't think its so cool a few years from now!"

Jason is a free-market conservative and a member of the Cato Institute (cato.org) and the James Madison Institute (jamesmadison.org). He is an active member of both the Leon County Republican Executive Committee (leongop.com) and the Capital City Republican Club (CCRC).

Jason is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to his Florida State Seminoles, which leads to some good-natured ribbing, working in the office with two rabid Gators! Jason serves on the board of the Tallahassee Seminole Club (tallahasseeseminoleclub.com) and is a member of both Seminole Boosters (seminole-boosters.com) and the FSU Alumni Association (alumni.fsu.edu).

Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Jason says, "By the grace of God my grandfather was a Cardinal fan, not a Cub!" His love of the Cardinals lead him, his brother Micah, and Uncle Rory, to make the trek in 2006 to visit the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis. "Now we're so glad we made the trip for the inaugural season in the new stadium, especially since they went on to win the World Series that year."

His Midwestern roots put him in conflict with his Florida and Raymond James roots, as he pulls for two NFL teams: the Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Bucs. "Growing up a Bears fan is something that stays a part of you, but the Bucs play in Raymond James Stadium!" says Brienen.
